How it works
To split a PDF or pull specific pages out of one, drop the file onto this page and enter the page numbers or ranges you want — each selection is written to a new PDF in your browser without the original being uploaded.
Drop a PDF in and every page is rendered as a thumbnail so you can see what you are working with. From there, two things are possible: build a new document from a chosen set of pages, or break the file apart into one PDF per page.
Pages can be picked in two ways. Typing a range like "1-3, 7, 10-" is fastest when you already know what you need — an open-ended range such as "10-" means page ten to the end. Clicking thumbnails is better when you are working it out as you go, and it does something the range box cannot: the pages come out in the order you clicked them. Clicking page five and then page two produces a document with five first, which makes this a reordering tool as much as a splitting one.
Pages are copied across without being re-encoded, so nothing loses quality and text stays selectable. Extracting three pages from a 200-page report gives you a small file containing exactly those pages, not a 200-page file with the rest hidden.
This is the tool for pulling one signed page out of a returned contract, separating a scanned batch into individual documents, or removing the pages you do not want to send. Everything runs in your browser, so a large document does not mean a long upload.

How do I reorder pages rather than just extract them?
Click the thumbnails in the order you want them. A number appears on each showing its position, and the new document follows that sequence.
What does a range like "10-" mean?
Page ten through to the last page. You can also write "1-3, 7" to take a block plus a single page, and the parts are used in the order you write them.
Does splitting reduce quality?
No. Pages are copied without re-encoding, so extracted pages are identical to the originals.
