About these tools

Every tool here runs inside your own browser, using the same PDF engine browsers already use to display documents, plus a library for writing new ones. Your files are read from disk by the page and handed straight back as a download. Nothing is uploaded, which means no queue behind other people’s jobs, no size cap imposed by an upload form, and no copy of a document you may not want on someone else’s server — which matters more for PDFs than for most file types, since they tend to be contracts, statements, and scanned identification.

Most of these operations do not touch page content at all. Merging, splitting, and reordering copy pages from one document into another without re-encoding, so quality is identical to the original and text stays selectable. Page numbers and watermarks add real text on top of pages that are otherwise untouched.

Compression is the exception, and the one place where a browser genuinely cannot match a server. Recompressing the images inside a PDF while keeping its text layer intact requires rewriting the file’s content streams, which the available browser libraries cannot do. The compressor therefore offers two honest choices instead: a lossless cleanup that preserves everything but saves less, and a stronger method that converts pages to images and saves a great deal at the cost of selectable text. Which one is right depends entirely on whether your document is a scan or a text file.

FAQ

Are my PDFs uploaded to a server?

No. Every tool runs in your browser, and each tool page shows a live network monitor during processing that stays at zero bytes sent.

Is there a file size limit?

None imposed by us, since nothing is uploaded. Your device’s memory is the practical ceiling — very large or very long PDFs may be slow on older machines.

Can I work with password-protected PDFs?

Not yet. An encrypted PDF cannot be read without its password, and the tools will tell you clearly when they encounter one. Password removal is planned.

Why did compressing barely shrink my PDF?

Lossless cleanup can only remove structural redundancy, which is limited on a well-made file. If the PDF is a scan, the stronger image-based method will make a large difference.

Do the tools add a watermark or a signup wall?

No. There are no watermarks, no accounts, and no cap on how many files you process.
